Feeling very small at the moment.
It’s not just that my 14 year old son is now 3/4 inches taller than me (not that I’m measuring), but today I went to the amazing Visions of the Universe Exhibition in Greenwich.
Trying to get my head around the vastness of space and the enormous timescales was really trippy… it will take Voyager, hurtling through space, 40,000 years to reach the nearest star… there are 200 billion stars in our galaxy… and billions of galaxies in the universe.
Inevitable that there is life out there, but equally inevitable that we will never find each other.
Ended up feeling small and lonely in the vastness of space, so I went to the cafe, had a large latte and chocolate brownie, and then felt fat and lonely in the vastness of space!
